‘American Horror Story’ reveals untitled Season 4 plot, Lange’s final season of AHS

As if ‘American Horror Story’s season of Coven ending was not bad enough, waiting for season 4 of the FX hit television horror series seemed as if it was taking forever. Times up! Kinda, sorta…

A couple weeks back fan made photos surfaced (left) throughout the internet causing Twitter and Tumblr to react in a very shocking way. The 7 million viewers of previous seasons wanted to know, were these pictures real or fake?

One of the show’s writers, Douglas Petrie, let some comments slip during a Nerdist Writers Panel Podcast. Throughout the entire process, the crew of AHS have kept their lips sealed on most details regarding the next season. When asked about the circus theme, it was time to clear up some of the rumors, it was revealed that the theme surrounding the next season would be a Carnival set up. Not too far off from the rumored Circus theme.

Not all the details have been ironed out yet for the season that is expected to start in October of this year.

“It doesn’t have a title, but that’s the idea,” said Petrie. “Very roughly, that’s the idea.”

Ryan Murphy has also spoken very briefly to different forms of press regarding the show. “If you look historically what happened in the year 1950, there’s some more clues in that year. It’s a period piece,” Murphy told Entertainment Weekly. Could it be something related to the Korean War starting in 1950? WWI ending in 1951? Segregation ruled illegal in 1954?

Highly demanded actresses Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson will be back despite the fact that 64 year old Lange claimed she was ‘coming to an end of acting’ and would like to complete a final season of her most popular show. She would like to remain in Hollywood however, directing perhaps

“[Lange] has always wanted to play a Marlene Dietrich figure, and now she gets to,” Ryan Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter. “She is already practicing her German accent so I’m very excited.”

“I want to go out with a bang… or should I say scare,” Lange told the LA Times. I think it is safe to say that this season will live up to its high expectations set after Coven’s season.
