Fashion icon Oscar De La Renta, has passed away at the age of 82 on October 20, 2014, according to ABC News.

Although a cause of death has not been announced, the designer was diagnosed with cancer back in 2006.

Oscar made a name for himself in the early 60’s, then began to turn heads for frequently dressing First Lady Jackie Kennedy.

Since then, we all know of Oscar’s work from pages of any major fashion

One of my absolute FAVORITES from the entire 2014 Met Gala had to be Sarah Jessica Parker, I don't know if I'm still cheering for Carrie Bradshaw deep down inside, but she looks absolutely PERFECT in this Oscar da la Renta piece. She was also one of the only stars that draped their own dress without the help of any fashion stylist or anything. Down to earth and beautiful!? What more could we ask for?
