Timbaland DRAGS Aaliyah Lifetime Movie; Missy Elliot, Zendaya, Twitter Reacts

Timbaland is making it clear that he is NOT happy with Lifetime’s & Wendy Williams’ ‘Aaliyah: Princess of R&B’. Timbaland joins pretty much everyone else by saying this movie was a complete flop.

The mega-producer dragged the hell out of the film on his Instagram throughout Saturday night.

Missy Elliott even chimed in on Timbaland’s comments via her Twitter.

Missy also retweeted this tweet:

Even Zendaya, who was originally casted to play the role of Aaliyah but later on declined to take the role, took to Twitter to get people to possibly stop talking negativity about the film.

Alexandra Shipp, the actress who ended up playing Aaliyah told TIME in a recent interview, “I deleted Twitter off my phone. I deleted Instagram. And I just did my job.” I wouldn’t recommend her downloading the app anytime in the near future.

Wendy Williams and Lifetime had no business doing this movie even after they could not get approval from the family.

Of course Twitter completely blew up Saturday night. Here are some tweet reactions to the Aaliyah biopic.

Did you like the movie? Did you even take time to go watch it? Let me know in the comments below!
