The 2015 Met Gala Will Run Slightly Different This Year Due To New Rule

It’s Met Gala time again! However, things will run slightly different this year.

The Met Gala is an exclusive annual fashion gala that fundraises money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute of New York and the guest list includes the top names in the entertainment industry. Details regarding the event each year are very scarce, trying to keep the event underneath the public eye.

All guest of this year’s gala received a notice with their arrival information stating, “The use of phones for photography and social media will not be permitted inside the gala.” This will be enforced for guests’ security and enjoyment of the event.

As one of the world’s hottest parties for the fashion scene holding all these A-list names, it’s possible some of them do not wish to be photographed/recorded by fans/other celebs instead of professional party pictures where they can be prepared for every single picture.

But most importantly, this means no selfies will be allowed during the event. What will Kim Kardashian do?!?!

Last year’s event was full of iPhones snapping selfies and pictures during what appeared to be the entire party.

That includes tweeting and/or Instagramming from inside the event. ALL social media has been prohibited as well.

This year’s upscale gala’s theme is ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ which I’m sure we will get slayed tonight by what these celebrities will be wearing. Be on the lookout on for updates tonight on the 2015 Met Gala.
