It wouldn’t be a complete weekend for Lollapalooza attendee’s without a little drama.
Rapper Travi$ Scott, whose real name is Jacques Webster, was arrested on Saturday’s Lollapalooza‘s daytime performance here in Chicago. The rapper allegedly told fans to jump security barricades at the Grant Park stage to get on stage.
“The performer played one song and then began telling fans to come over the barricades. Due to security’s quick response, the situation was remedied immediately and no fans were injured. The performer fled the scene and was taken into custody a short while later. He is being charged with disorderly conduct.” – Melissa Stratton, Spokeswoman of Chicago’s Office of Emergency Management
Social media lit up with videos of the incident. Things appear to be alright, but when dealing with a mass amount of bodies at Lollapalooza, out of all places, you can’t really take this all too lightly.
The city reported thirty-four arrests total for the festival for the duration of the weekend out of the 48,000+ crowd… Not bad Chicago!
Hope everyone had a a fun and safe Lollapalooza weekend!
