Bobbi Kristina’s Official Cause of Death Released

Today should have been her 23rd birthday, however, on March 4, 2016 Bobbi Kristina‘s official cause of death has been released.

The testing completed by The Fulton County Medical Examiner revealed that the daughter of the late Whitney Houston died due to “immersion of face in water complicating mixed drug intoxication.”

Multiple drugs were found in her system including alcohol, marijuana, morphine, a prescription anti-anxiety med called benzodiazepines, and also a cocaine-related substance called benzoylecgonine. It could not be determined whether or not the morphine was related to heroin use.

Back on Jan. 31, 2015, Bobbi was found submerged in her bathtub to later have been put on life support when she never regained consciousness. It was until July 26th, 2015 that she would be taken off of life support and later died in a hospice in Georgia.

Her mother, the great Whitney Houston, died nearly the same exact way, drowning in a bathtub with multiple drugs in her system.

Her father Bobby Brown released a statement with his displeasure that his daughter’s autopsy information was given out. A judge ordered the autopsy be released when a media outlet argued their first amendment rights. Here’s what Bobby Brown had to say.

First and foremost, 23 years ago today, Bobbi Kristina was born. Krissy will always live in my heart and soul. I love my baby girl. For news affiliates to seek and obtain my daughter’s autopsy report, before anyone has been brought to justice for her death is mind-blowing to me. Please pray for my family.     -Bobby Brown in a statement on Friday.

This news also connects to the $40 million wrongful death lawsuit that the Houston/Brown family has against Kristina’s former boyfriend Nick Gordon. The family is claiming Gordon is the one who provided Bobbi with the drugs however the Medical Examiner was unable to determine if her death was due to intentional or accidental causes.

It will be interesting to see how the judge will decide Nick Gordon’s fate, but this news was definitely some good news for Gordon.
